But to understand Anger, Desire, Lust and Ignorance (ideas and opinions) one needs to understand the MIND...

SUFFERING.

One searches FREEDOM from sufferings, which is called Nibbana, i.e Enlightenment.

The REASONS why one suffers are due to Anger, Desire, Lust and Ignorance (ideas and opinions).

Hence, the Enlightenment means the Freedom from Anger, Desire, Lust and Ignorance (ideas and opinions).

But to understand Anger, Desire, Lust and Ignorance (ideas and opinions) one needs to understand the MIND on which all these operate. And with the understanding all these Anger, Desire, Lust and Ignorance (ideas and opinions), they are subdued.

When one understands the MIND, WISDOM is born. And with the WISDOM one root out the defilements of Anger, Desire, Lust and Ignorance (ideas and opinions) and be Free, i.e. Enlightened.
