TWO TYPES OF AWARENESSES.

Awareness is a mental state, and is the result of Healthy thinking (Perception), where one becomes aware of the objects, one thought of. This is the first type of Awareness.

If one does not think, i.e. Non-Thinking (Being Thoughtless), where one becomes aware of that, that there is no thinking, then this is the second type of Awareness, where there is no objects.

Since, these instances happens usually in a Healthy mind, and they are healthy Mind's actions, and Awareness being a healthy mental state, therefore, there is no sufferings.

If the Mind is Defective, then the Thinking (perception) will not be an Healthy one, and the Thinking (Perception) will not be related to the object 'observed'. Then one will not become Aware of the objects without or within. Hence, there will not be Awareness, but there would be Fear, insecurity, doubt, etc., which are created by these unhealthy thinking, as one could not be able to recognize his thinking as his own thinking. He would feel the Thinking as alien to him, 'Not Me'. This is like a bad dream, where one would wake up out of fear, but then fall asleep again dreaming the same, without a way of escape.

This happens to people who are suffering from Schizophrenia. This situation is well explained by Jiddu Krishnamurti, as a Fragmented Mind having Me and 'Not Me' as the Fragments, causing fear, insecurity, doubt and sufferings.

When one pays 'Attention' and 'observes' an object, there is a 'doing' as these are Mind's actions. But when one becomes Aware of the object, due to these actions and the subsequent Thinking (Perception) of the object, that Awareness is only a mental state, not an action.

But, in one's Defective mind, such as having Schizophrenia, 'observation' leads to a Thinking of a non-related object, which causes fear, doubt, insecurity, etc., instead of Awareness, as there is no 'object' to be aware.

But, he would be attentive of the 'non-related inner object' and 'observing' it to continually be in fear, insecurity, doubt, etc.
